Creative Work Inspired by Land Launches at Hunter Museum

Land is meditation on the complexities/dichotomies of the natural world as a mirror for knowing and holding our own inner landscapes of experience.

Land was born in a season of severe postpartum depression and was an attempt to integrate the competing emotions of despair and joy. The choreographer confronts mental anguish by creating something beautiful.  The dancers and artists move through the private emotions of both the collective and the individual, expressing the body and earth as a transformative landscape.

A live, debut performance on August 10, 2023 at The Hunter Museum and can be seen here.

A film version of this creative work, shot on location in natural settings can be seen here and has been displayed at Stoveworks and Wanderlinger Art Gallery.
